Firstly thank you all for your kind words about my work I do appreciate it. The Vicmarc as certainly made making pens a whole lot more enjoyable.
The Buck Eye Burl was given to me by Bill at Arizona Silhouette when I placed the bulk order for Sedonas at the beginning of the year and I only just got around to using it I haven't seen it anywhere else so I am sorry guys but I am not sure where else you can get it for you guys in the states well you can get it from Arizona.
Terry, the metal X blanks are a new product from Rick & Gina they are an aluminium look a like. I can't be 100% sure what they are all about yet I have only just got the samples maybe Rick got give some insight as to what they are about.
NewLondon the Double Dyed blanks I got from Berea Hardwoods they are just a Burl that has been dyed with two different colours and then stabilized with resin.
Amos I have considered the possibility of making a DVD on my Rustins finish there are a couple of reasons I haven't done so as yet, I don't have a camera and finding the time to do it will be a challange.

The Metal-X, pronounced metallics, (it was my daughters idea for the name) is something we have been experimenting with for a few months now. We have found a way to liquify aluminum and disperse it in the same resin as our snakeskin blanks. While it does have a "pearl-ish" look to it, there are none of the pearlescent pigments that are commonly used in acrylic pen blanks.
Over the next few months, I will be working on a few other metals, and some special effects materials.
