I am a bit geographically challenged to attend at Donvale, but could be interested in North Wales if you can do that trick where you cover yours and every other backyard in white stuff several inches thick. .
Sounds like a great event coming up, hope everyone enjoys the demos and a special thanks to Sturdee (Peter) in anticipation of the photos.

Thanks guys for doing this for me. I've been busting a gut milling up a huge log today and I have to go back tomorrow to finish it.
As it is not at my place I'll have to do any casting demos that require pressure first up, as I normally leave them overnight, but I can add a bit more catalyst . Only the one pot though, so we can only do a few. I'll try and knock up a pepper grinder blank size mold so we can cast that too without pressure using some of Mark's offcuts.
Hope there is room to park the truck/trailer and unload it, the main disadvantage of not having it at my place. What size is your lathe thread, hopefully 30x3.5 then I don't need to bring the lathe.
I'll still be bringing the sausages and bread.Neil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

Neill,
I have two compressors, one with Jamec fittings and the other with the now standard which I think is Nitto, if you need them for your castings.
My mini lathe, which is the only one not bolted down, has a 1" 10 tpi thread but I think I have enough chucks etc for you to use as well as a slow speed bench grinder, one side set up for tormek jigs that can be used.
As I live on a large corner block with a large drive way I'm sure that there will be enough room for your truck/trailer close to the garage for unloading etc.
If there is anything else you or Mark need let me know.
We'll be providing tea/coffee and some salads. Whilst I have chairs, it would be good if those attending bring their own in case of need.
Peter.

Some pictures where the gathering will be to whet your whistle.
Coming from the driveway there is a double garage, not used as a workshop but to garage cars in. I'll move the cars out and give it a bit of a clean up and in the case of inclement weather the demos can be here.

Moving from the garage we come to a concreted patio which would be the preferred area to hold the demos. Note the inconspicuous timber door that goes to the workshop. Plenty of powerpoints are there in this area.

Going up the steps we get to the BBQ area. As the photos indicate there is plenty of room. Depending on the numbers I can remove the lazy seating and put up the other table with chairs. There is a cold water tap and sink, HW urn, deep fryer as well as a microwave if needed as well as the double bbq's. Only recently altered it and some more work is still to be done to pretty it up but it's functional.

Will all those that are coming please indicate in this thread, if not already done so, and I'll pm my address during the week. The only problem that I have is that, some time during the afternoon, I need someone to drive my wife to Mitcham. So I'm looking for a volunteer.
Peter.

All good, please bring it. I use Nyco fittings, but it sounds like we will have all the sorts covered
Please bring it Amos thanks
I have a mini compressor that will be fine for my pot, we can then use yours for the others. By having additional pots, we can cast their stuff in them, and they can take them home again under pressure to cure properly
Sounds fine to me. Do you have a sanding disc? If not, I will still bring my lathe as I have a sanding disc attachment, just to sand down the cast blanks.
