Cheers RP, yeah it is a help, i've been focussing on getting so many new processes right and correct what little time i've had spare at the lathe see's me all focussed on step by step to get it right. I know i'll be doing that for a little while yet as i'm not commercial, or productive, seeing your process though would allow me to get more practice on certain steps, whitch can only be a good thing .

    Neal.

As long as you are having fun it does not matter how or how many you make

Great looking set of pens Rum.

What sort of shop do you sell them through. I am looking to try that in Brisbane.

The shop is a wood gallery. The owner has a cabinet making business and this is where he sells all his high end cabinets the type that cost $5,000 for a coffee table.
He also like to sell bita and pieces from local crafties.

    Thanks Rum

I was talking to a guy at work who is really into American Civil War history and buying Civil War guns form the USA. They have a fairly big association and he told me he could sell 'gun' type pens at dealers shows and in his club. So I found a site in the USA that sells Civil War pen kits and I am going to make a few of them to see how they will sell. Bullet pens apparently are the big thing with the gun crowd. Will see how it goes but if you don't try then there is no point whinging. I will also try and find a gallery as you have. I want to fill in my retirement time making pens and as long as I can re-coup my costs I am not too worried about profits. Anyway I doubt this occupation is the road to the 200 Rich List on BRW

there was a kit available in the states that was shaped like a shotgun shell I do not know if they still sell them.
Good luck with your pen it is aways nice to know that people are so impressed with your work they are willing to part with their money and sometimes big money well for me anyway. Best of luck and let us know how you go
