I think any plating you marry up to that blank is just going to look fantastic. I wouldn't even attempt to advise you as to which to use, having seen your beautiful pens in the past, you will have a much better idea than me.
I agree with the idea of placing the feathers so the quill end is pointing to the nib.
I look forward to seeing the end results of this one.Reality is no background music.
Cheers John

Hey Les,
You did ask, my opinion would be a silver, either Titanium and Black Chrome or a two tone Titanium, IMO a gold kit would be too much, there is enough color in the blank.
And yes I agree with munruben the quill end towards the nib.

Platinum and Black Ti pen kit would work pretty well there i reckon.
Where did you get that blank from? It's a beauty.

Les I think your judgement will be just as good as any.
That is another wonderful feather blank.
As for the orientation I would have the quill down at the nib end so the feathers is the correct way up when writing.Cheers Rum Pig

Not sure which Seira, but a two tone Chrome and Brushed satin would go nice. There are two different styles, one more Satin then Chrome....the soft satin won't detract from the gloss of the blank nor will it show fingerprints....definately quill tip towards the nib.....IMHO

Probably too late now you have turned it , But I think a nice bright copper and black sierra vista would have looked special and I think as most that "Quill" to nib end is a natural

Les, I would use gold kit, it would marry in with the colours, however there is enough green to make silver look ok, as for orientation, if it is done in a Vista kit, then that would need deciding before turning, but if it is a regular Sierra the tip to the right hand end of the picture . Amos
