Bethlehem Olive Wood ( BOW )
Faceted and smooth. The grain takes over in the pics in the hand it is detailed.
Cut and turned whilst cleaning out the shop, relaxing to get back to the lathe and mill.
Anyone buying should use the American sites as mine cost me months and heaps each. When my NSW Olive dries it has the same promise.
Really hot around town today.
Regards Peter

Lovely timber beautifully turned as usual Les.
Not sure that the shape of the pen Suits the timber. Imho it detracts from the natural beauty if the grain.

Hi Peter
I think its a great looking pen!
Have you moved to a high gloss finish? Looks pretty shiny to me.

Wow! Peter now i see what you were talking about.
Beautiful pen mate well worth all the effort. It has the look about it over the pencils from the 50 / 60 ies.
Very nice grain in the blank as well

That's a beautiful piece of timber and some pretty fancy turning!
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Nice piece of Olive, but I do prefer pens that are turned bush to bush.
Each to his own.
