black locust burl
heres one of a few i spun yesterday,
modified slim black locust burl finished with c.a.
this burl has the most beautiful threads of fluro green in around the black areas,
hard to pick up with my photography!

It is always disappointing when you can see something startling in a piece you make, and can't make it show up in a photo. Even without the fluoro green it looks great.

some nice colours there . the timber of the black locust or robinia is a very good furniture timber or any sort of woodworking so if theres any availablel grab it.its the same olive green clour as the pen and back in the days when they built ships with dowels instead of nails this is what they used, so im told .its very stong along the grain
