Default An order for some "blokey" pens

Best I could do at short notice an order for some "Blokey" pens , so he got 4 Bolt actions and 3x 50 cals. (hope my order turns up soon as now out of stock on the projectiles)
Left to right Deer Horn, Camo,Snake skin, and water buffalo horn. Mind you plenty of the "Fairer gender" buy these also . Cheers ~ John

Looking good John, you're right about the fairer sex buying bullet pens, they not only like them for themselves (particularly the brighter ones) but love to give them as gifts to their "better" half.

PS What snake skin is that, hard to see the whole blank?

Thanks Fred its almost a shame to take money for these bolt actions hehe, But the 50 cals are a fair bit of work, so it all balances in the end Not shore on the skin as I bought a batch of tanned snakeskin offcuts from the states a few years back ,so not an aussie snake lol. Cheers ~ John

Nice work John, he'll be happy with that lot.

Yes, unfortunately most do like the shiny finish. The clear powdercoat caused me too many problems, so I stopped making bullet pens for a long time. Then a couple of old customers wanted some more, but wanted plain brass. I cleaned the powdercoating off all the half made ones in the bottom drawer and sold quite a few like that.
Just recently I got a trial batch done in clear ceramic coating, they look good but I am not sure if it will last the distance yet. A 50 cal that I got done was bought by a regular customer, it came back for warranty work last week ( cigar tranny failed ) so I got to have a good look at the coating, it hasnt held up as good as I had hoped for, but I think he gives his pens a hard time.
I think I will offer the ceramic coating as an option, but will try to promote the plain brass as a working pen with character. Time will tell I guess.
