    Default Blue glass fiber

Blue_Glass_Fiber_Pen_Blanks.jpgHas anyone worked with this material before??? This is blue glass fiber. I want to make my own blanks. This material comes in sheet form that I know of. If someone knows of sleeve form please let me know. It unravels very easily so I am looking for pointers a sto how to wrap a tube with it. Thanks in advance.

i have not seen this material before, as a thought to try and keep it together what about using some of the aluminum HVAC tape on the under side before cutting to size

the tape is silver on both sides so by theories you wouldn't have to paint the tubes

not sure if this would work but it could be worth a try

    all the best

You know that is not that bad of an idea. I may have to give this a try. It is thin enough too. Well there is a trip to Home Depot. Thanks.

This is where I get mine: http://www.solarcomposites.com/compo...rbonfiberglass

Basically stretch it over tube and cast similar to SS braid casting

I get my sleeving from there also but this stuff has a different look. I can not find it in sleeve form. If this does not work out I may have to try some plain fiberglass sleeving colors. Thanks.
