Whilst the workmanship is spot on and looks great, it’s just looks plain to me
Cheers

Beyond blue
WOW Brad, I bet you had fun making those and the result is stunning , plain but striking in colour - almost shocking.
I can imagine it would be popular with the ladies, and maybe some laddies

Cheers Peter. Glad you are enjoying my journey, I sure am too.
I thought I would try something different this time.
Thanks DJ. The blue is a lot more subdued in the photos than in real life, it has quite a bit of shimmer in the resin. I will try to get some photos in natural light to see if I can capture it better.
Thanks Euge. My wife likes this one, so I guess you’re right there.
I am having fun making these pens, very rewarding also.
Hopefully I can find a market for them eventually.Brad.

Fine looking pen Brad. How about a few boring stats? Nib type and size? Section, finial, and barrel threads? Length and weight? Thanks.

Brad, you've done it again. Thinking outside the box with kitless pens in (shock! horror!) resin and not a scrap of timber! Really well done and those clips (still from stainless hose clamps?) just get better and better. As one who can just handle normal pen kits, I applaud your kitless efforts.
And the wife asks if "kitless pens" means you make them without your gear on? The mind boggles!
Cheers, Gary

Cheers Pete.
The nib is a stainless #6 JoWo , broad . Uses a standard ink converter.
The clip is .9mm thick stainless salvaged from a large hose clamp.
Cap threads are 14mm x .8 double start, section thread is 10mm x .75, finial is 9mm x .75 .
Pen diameter is 14.5mm and 140mm long, and 150mm when capped. The cap is about 17mm diameter.
The weight is 31 grams.
I think that about covers it.Brad.

Thanks Gary. After a few timber pens of this type, I wanted to do a resin version, so much less stress and trouble than the timber ones.
Yeah mate, still using the stainless hose clamps for making the clips.
Still a bit cool in the mornings for turning in the shed without any kit on, maybe in the summer.....Brad.
