    Default bolt action pens from timberbits

    got surprise in the mail last week and had some lathe time today and turned them up! I think they turned out great! only flaw was by me but I'll wait and see if anyone can pick it! sorry to double up with photos but wanted to thank the team at timberbits for the pens and bushes! always great fast and surprises!

    Nice work on the pens. I can't see where you've gone wrong so either it's not a big one or you've hidden it well

    I think if I'd put them together I would have switched the blanks and pens though, red on gold & cam on chrome. Just my thoughts anyway
    It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

    Hi chuck1,

    I too got a couple in the mail a few days ago but waiting for the right blanks first before I make them I have to agree with corbs I think the camo would have looked better on the chrome kit and the red one on the gold. Is your mistake some flaking or some separation of the CA at the ends of the red blank ? other than that nice work.

    at the time I was thinking gold was closer to brass like a real bullet hence the camo! and yes the flaking! any extra tips on avoiding that??

    What are you using for trimming the ends? Don't use a pen mill
