Default Bolt on/off extension bed for lathe

I've got a little Jet Mini lathe that occasionally I need to increase the length of the bed. Just wondering whether anyone has made a small extension bed to their lathes that can be easily added/removed? Don't need a lot of extra capacity but have a small workshop so would have to be something that can be quickly adjusted.

Bit long, I don't have that much space, needs to be 300 mm max.

Cant find the link but I have seen a home made one about 300 mm long that just hangs off the end and folds back on a hinge so it is behind the lathe. Won't work all that well if you have the lathe hard up against a wall though.

I have a Woodfast midi and bought the bed extension, but like you, found it too long. So I took it to my local steel supplier, one with a very good steel cutoff bandsaw, where he cut it in half in the middle of one of the webs. Perfect for those pepper grinders and supports itself (ie no need for legs).
