Default Bought From Here Before? Wanna hear you out

    Hey all,

Hope everyone is turning fine and enjoying themselves. X'mas is just around the corner! Time to get those festive pens ready for our close ones.

was looking at this website. well came across this website.

Bad Dogs Burl Source - Pen Blanks

Saw their beautiful burl blanks and am tempted to get some. But i guess i'll ask around before i ship it over to where i stay - Singapore.

The last time i tried Pen Making Supplies, Pen Kits, Pen Blanks From Steebar

They didn't even get back to me about anything! All i got was an email stating that my order has been processed and after 3 weeks i still have not received any email informing me what was the estimated time arrival even after numerous emails to them, Watch Out, Beware... it may well be a scam. lost close to a hundred there.

That aside, what do you think of dog burls source? Ordered from them before? Would like to hear from you.

    Cheers,
    Freddie

Freddie, I live about 2-2.5 hrs from, Rob @ Bad Dog Burls, went to his shop last year for an IAP local chapter meeting. We turned pens for the troops, Rob was a great host and I bought a bunch of items from him. He also donated some blanks for the Nov 6 turning for the troops also. I have not ordered over the internet from him, only in person, but I have good idea he would be a pleasure to work with after dealing with him in person.

I have no affiliation to Rob just impressed with his wood, and the beef brisket

Hey, My God you must have been in heaven, the burls on his website are FANTASTIC! you must have seen his two dogs too. I just made my order and i feel that he's a very attentive person that really caters to his customers needs and wants and always clearing my doubts and questions. Hope my package arrives soon! man i would like to turn to a cause one day too. Least that's one item on my bucket list.

    Cheers,
    Freddie

+1 on the beef brisket! LOL I was also at this same meeting Rob hosted, and he really does have some beautiful product and the prices are reasonable. Not sure what might have happened with the communication, but Bad Dog is a supporter of turners. I doubt he came close to breaking even on hosting our meeting, what with the BBQ he put on and selling wood to penturners, but he's still willing to host us again. He must have spent two days getting ready for us and another half day cleaning up afterwards.. plus giving up the whole day playing host. And yes.. the dogs were great!
