BOW Statesman
I entered this into the inaugural pen class in the wood turning section at the Bundaberg show. Each item is scored out of 90, I don't know why it isn't 100 but that is how it has been for sometime. I received 82/90 for this pen and won first prize for class 34 section 15. The timber is a joy to turn, so much so I kept the shavings as well. Well see what you think, comments welcome.
Cheers
Darren

Nice pen and congratulations on the win
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

Neat pen and presentation as well. I agree it is pleasant to turn. Our Olive wood or the stuff I have as well is more white as cut, turns much the same both favourites.
I would love to be amongst a thousand pen blanks of Olive and choose my own from Bethlehem ie.
Well deserved marking trust you received a rich reward from the show.
regards Peter.
