Braided Brass
Well i casted this braided brass flexible water pipe material and all intentions of putting these on some glod colored kits. Well here is one I put on a Sierra Vista kit and I am having second thoughts and need some input. I took a couple different photos both indoor and outdoor because some people have said the brass looks like it has a green tinting but I can assure you it looks as brassy as brass can look. It is very shiney because the product is used for exposed water lines and has some kind of epoxt coating on it to keep it from tarnishing. I think because the weave changes directions and alternates gives it that appearance and with the casting in clear resin only magnifys it.
I would like to hear what you think and if you have some suggestions for some different kits I would like to hear them. I have a set casted for a cigar but after seeing this I may rethink the kit. I was going to now try a black chrome cigar kit but I am not sure how the plating will hold up. May just try it and field test it. Thanks for looking and the input.

That is a fine looking pen JT.
I think the greenish tint arises from the refraction and reflection in the materials.
As for different coloured kits, I think you have a great combination there. Copper would also go well as would chrome and black titanium. Have a look at some bathroom fittings for inspiration.

Looks like you have got the process going well, the blank certainly looks good
As for colourof kits, I guess it comes down to personal choice, my preference would be a black Ti kit.Neil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new
