    Can you believe that 99% of Australian kids don't know what conkers are!

    I didn't know what conkers were until I lived in London for 6 months and some of the guys there explained what it was. I couldn't believe all the fun that I missed out on as a kid. They were absolutely amazed that I had no idea.

    I want to show my kids what conkers are but there are no conker trees around my area. What a shame. I think I would of been a good conker player. It still tickles my fancy now thinking about it.

    Thanks for that explanation cisco, its all starting to make sense to me now.

    hehe! I reckon if you put a thread through a Macadamia nut and went to England with it you would "conker" all ,you can break a hammer with one of those ,or do serious injury when when they slide out from the hammer at speed !
