    Default Bullet Pens

Started to get some pens finished to fill one of my orders.
I got my bullets back from the powdercoater, what a dissapointment .
Out of the 41 x 30-06 lower barrels I gave him, only about 12 are good enough to use, the rest are bubbled around the transition of the projectile to shell line. You can see the mess on the ones in the last photo. I will have to remove the coating off these ones and give them back to him for another go.
I dont even have enough good ones to fill all my orders at this stage.

These finished pens are for the original guy who asked me for some, for his Christmas presents. He has already paid for his so I had to give him first shot at them.

These are all 30-06, and hollow point projectiles, with Sierra transmissions, some have 308 tops, the rest are PR from Wood n workshop, the colours have some meaning to the guy, I have to get another of the Gondwana blanks off Bruce to make another one, as I had a misshap with one this afternoon , he wants 4 of the black red and yellow ones.

Always a bit of a chance with powdercoating for it to go "pear shaped" You can remove the powdercoating with acetone ,you can also re-coat over already done surfaces .You may be able to just dip the tips in acetone long enough to soften and remove the bad bits ,give it a good clean and buff and get that part redone . Nice lot of pens otherwise cheers ~ John

Great looking pens. Pity about the powder coating tho. Rekon you will overcome that hurdle tho.

Cheers John, I have started to dissolve the clear coat off some of them, just getting the time to finish the job is what I need. Its a messy job .

Just got off the phone to Bruce at 'Wood n Workshop", another blank is on the way to finish the order, and also got a Woodchuck Pen Pro coming as well. Thanks Bruce.
