Bundy vat 97 and others !
Darren (bdar) kindly sent me some of his precious Bundy Vat 97 blanks to try, I believe they are American white oak and last about 100 years in the brewery ,finally got a chance to try one out on a Knight pen from David, its also cross cut so was interesting to turn , I put it with a few others I have done this week ,a majestic squire in fernwood pressure cast with transparent purple to fill the voids in this stuff another fernwood from the same batch on a Phoenix kit,and a budgeroo on an Executive Australiana ,and a couple of girly pens from leftovers , Cheers ~ John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

Some great looking pens there John, the Fernwood ones had me puzzled until I read your text.
That Bundy pen has some real character, I love it.

Hey John. Very nice gaggle of pens there mate. Love the Fern wood ones. I must get some Pheonix kits to try, they look a bit different and of good quality.

Some very nice pens there John. The white oak vat came up a treat and certainly shines with the CA ? coating.

Yep CA on the Bundy and the 2 fernwoods, the budgeroo is just finished with triple e and Glow friction polish, some of my pens I prefer to leave in a less plastic finish hehe. Cheers John

John you have done and outstanding job on all pens. The fernwood ones are something special The rum blank has come up a treat and the finish is brilliant. Being cross cut it makes it a bit more challenging to turn, but the results are well worth it. Great set of pens John
