Burl Euc JR Victor
This is a JR Victor Fountain (aka JR Retro) post-able version in Burl Eucalypt Sapwood.
Sanded to 400 grit. CA Finish - 20 thin coats. Sanded to 2,000 grit. Brasso, cornflour then automotive wax.
I think I finally have mastered my photography skills. I really like the black background. What does everyone think?
Thanks in advance for any comment or suggestions for improvements.
Regards

David, an extremely nice pen,
Photography is excellent. Trouble with the dead black and the reflective black it loses some quality when te file size is changed for posting on the forum (and no doubt elsewhere)regards

The photographs are extremely classy. I like the black effect, although it appears that some of the detail is lost around the edges. Still, it grabs your eyes and that is the whole point. Is that one of those shiny black acrylic stands in a light tent?
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Very nice Indeed David, we do have some woods equal to anything anywhere, that is one of them . I suspect a wenge or black ebony may be a challenge on that background lol.
But overall it has an old worldish charm about it ,to match the pen . Cheers ~ JohnG'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

Another great pen.
It looks good on the black but for some reason I can't open the thumbnails to the larger size...
Cheers

More excellent work David
You could try using photobucket or another hosting package that way you don't loose your size and can post a better picture.
