Busy few days
Been a few busy days ,first an order for 8 truestone pens destined for the UK .so today I relaxed with some new blanks that came this week . I have to admit that one of them got down to the pattern before I reached the bush sizes,so sanded off the rest of the pattern and ended up with a plain pearl lookalike , it was supposed to be like the other diamond pattern one.The cigar was also a new one for me ,it really sparkles in the sunlight I am now inclined to believe that the "Mesa" kit is not identical to the sierras ,as I had been led to believe , cheers ~ John
The first batch are 2 cigar elites,5 upgrade barons and I think an Electra ,all in truestone
The second batch ,I did today to try out some new blanks from WoodturningzG'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

That is a colourful set of pens. The new blanks from Woodturnings look good. Thanks for sharing.

hey John,
Maybe the Sierra is a 'Vista' like the Circuit Boards, they are a bit bigger than 'Our Sierras' Nice lot of colours there, should attract a few punters

HazzaB ,you may be right ,I did the 2 shell ones with vista kits ,still a problem with the finial being a loose fit in the tubes.Had to be glued in unfortunately . The casts have tubes in them already to be turned and they are a loose fit on sierras as well. I have made an enquiry elswhere as to sizes for (Mesa) kits cheers ~ John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

Hi Neil, yep ! the purple or mauve or lavender whatever , is truestone very pearlescent .
it's one from Ernie at beartooth .
( I think I have some here, came with one of the blanks I got.) try fitting a standard sierra finial into it and see if its loose as well hmmm ! may have to turn it first though lol. It's only a few thousandths difference though .

So John,
Do you do any wood pen anymore, or does everyone want the "modern" look?
You certainly seem to be picking up your fair share of custom orders. is that all from the markets, or you got other leads you're not telling us about?
Nice set anyway.

Yes I don't expect that one to be on display very long, it's called "royal weave" from Woodturningz all these in the second batch arrived this week so I had to try them
And russell I go to markets every sunday so most sales are from there And I probably do about 50-50 wood and other , the glitter attracts them, but with over 100 different pens on display there is something for everyone and I never let an opportunity pass me by hehe.
