busy yesterday
this is yesterdays efforts finished the last 2 this morning ,they are for an order .
the timber ones are made from the timber from the customers farm ,hairy oak and cypress root ball ,( by the way that cypress root is a shocker to work with destroyed a band saw blade and in seconds ,full of hairline cracks and clogs sandpaper quick as a wink , full of sticky resin kinda sap stuff ),just had to mix the kits up a little and try and get a little variation in the pens for him .
still have one more large order to make and a few smaller orders then i can get to and finish the hat stand i am making for some one , then maybe do some more work on the canoe i am building for the wife , then i can order the plans and start on my canoe , thats if it keeps raining long enough to keep me out of the tractors .
i bought one of those pendant making chucks and some blanks for doing those a week ago , can't see me getting to them for a while .or the gavels i want to make .'If the enemy is in range, so are you.'

Great little collectin there Texx.
Don't forget that all rootball or root timber retains more moisture than trunk timber, and some rootball timbers -eg. Cypress pine willrapidly lose tha moisture on exposure to air. This causes splitting.
