CA over Aluminum??
Has anyone finished a pen using CA over metal and acrylic??? I have a pen in progress and I used acrylic and aluminum segments. I was hoping to just polish the acrylic and the metal will naturally polish. But I noticed the blanks I had someone cast for me are abit too soft and they will mar and dent very easily so I will now have to put CA on them. I just was wondering will the CA stay on the aluminum or will it chip off??? Hopefully someone has done this and has results that are favorable. Thanks.

I have done a few segmented pens, where I have used aluminium or brass sheet in between segments. I finished these pens with CA, they have held up well, but the strips are only thin ( up to .5mm / 20 thou ) wider strips may be more prone to the CA delaminating off the metal, I dont know how they would go.
I have heard of one guy who finishes his brass cartridge pens with CA, so it must stick pretty well.
