Hey All
As most of you know I have been doing a bit of my own casting lately and need some advice from the pro's. I would like to know what are the best glues to use and ones that dont dry hell fast and do I need to glue the whole shed on or can I get away with just the ends any advice would be awesome thanks in advance

Hey Ian,
I assume you mean the whole Tube Yes you should glue the whole length of the tube, as this eliminates one reason for a failure when turning (Blow out) I now only use 24 hour epoxy for gluing in tubes.

I have tried most of the glues and now only use Sika Poly glue (available from Bunnings) Its slow drying (24 hours at least) but it fills any gaps and no way will it give way.

I find your question abit confusing because you mention casting. What are you looking to do??? If you are gluing tubes into blanks then I too suggest an epoxy. If you are gluing items to a tube I suggest CA but make sure it has cured before casting. If you are gluing a sleeving material over a tube and then casting, I suggest using the same casting resin or CA.

Use epoxy, preferably tinted white to bring out colour, CA melts shedded skins

I would use resin. The same stuff you are using to cast in. I do this with all my metal sleeving material and after it is in place I slap a thin coat of the resin to fill in the voids. Now what that does is prevent bubbles from forming when cast. With that many voids you may get bubbles if the resin is not thinned. Just my way of doing things but I am sure you will get some better answers. Look forward to seeing this pen. Should be a keeper.
