    Default CA Glue

Has anyone used 5cps CA glue for pens? I normally use 50cps CA but was wondering whether 5cps would be ok or whether it would either be too thin or dry too fast

    Any advice appreciated

I have been using Starbond EM-02 for the last nine months. Viscosity is 2-3 cPs. I never thought about the viscosity until I saw your post.

I apply it with the lathe running at 550 rpm. One or two drops onto the tube, any more than that and it starts spraying the lathe. Don't put drops close to the end of the tube, it is thin enought to find it's way past the bushes and glue everything to the mandrel. I found that out the hard way. Also, being so low in viscosity, it is not good at filling cracks.

    Hope this helps.

The 5 is the thin I have always used. Your 50 was the one that was bought by mistake

It happens Neil. This time I ordered the 50cps and got the 5cps. Are they trying to correct the earlier mistake or is someone dyslexic? Being ok to use is the most important thing.
