Spanner69 ok
Managed to find a pm with a phone number, Dave aka Spanner69 is ok, about a foot of water in the work shed--and he dived in and saved the blank for my pen--, apart from that he recounted acts of friendship from neighbour helping neighbour- steam arising from the inside of the house and dripping down the walls, most of his stuff in the shed had been lifted to a higher position and was ok. He emailed some pictures. Amos.

Hi there every one,
Just to let you know I now have power on in my house after what seemed like a month but was in reality only days with out power unlike some of my neighbours whgo continue to survive with our power.
I was extreemly lucky to have gotten off very lightly indeed with only water damage ans a few trees on my house but others were not so lucky .... particularly an hour up the road!
you can see from the pictures I sent Amos that the wind here in Tsv was quite strong ... well bloody strong .... strong enopugh to rip out a wind turbine on the strand, rip apart some offices and strew the contents like confetti and rip out some trees which had substantial root structures and those which it could not rip out snapped and twisted until they just let go like a daisy in a rain storm.
The sound ..... I was lucky .... I was sheltering in a freinds house which was like a bomb shelter but when ever we opend the window the roar was indescribable.
Was fantastic to hear a freindly voice on the pohone when Amos rang to touch base.
Thanks mate and that you all for your concern.
Cheers,
Spanner69
