    Default Camphor Laural

Has that strongest perfume whilst cutting, also a huge variety of colour. It looks like Blackwood from Tasmania as well.Mate of mine gets a blood nose even when he carves Camphor.Although classed as a weed species it grows to huge sizes, featured for many years as a linen chest box making timber out of China.

Peter, I like it, would like you to take another picture of it with more light on the wood, I wish we could have the camphor smell exuding from the pen. Say, how about we turn one, sand it down finely, then instead of using EEE or Shllawax, just use essential oils, they are bound to have one in Camphor?? Amos

Peter two nice touches that were noticable to me straight away and that was the small contrast of sapwood that you have left and the cove on the top half which I think the clip must sit in just nicely. Nice dark Camphor Heart in the pen and nice grain patterns showing through. Your finish and fit are always perfect without question. That is a pen worthy of any collection.
