CANCELLED BBQ at Dai Sensei's temporary residence in East Ivanhoe (Melbourne)
Ok I have decided to host a casting/pen making day of sorts at my mother's place in East Ivanhoe, on Sunday 8th December 2013, 11am-3pm. No workshop to speak of, its mainly full of furniture , but I have a lathe and can demonstrate my casting/pressure pot with worthless wood/seed pods or anything else someone wants to try.
Please bring any timber, or pen bits and pieces for swap, sale or just show and tell. I'll have a few cast/stabalized pen blanks and my new jars Coffee Grinds (for infill etc) for sale.
I intend providing some bread and snags to cook on a BBQ (hopefully I can borrow my sister's). If you want or need anything else, drinks food etc, bring it yourself . You are welcome to also bring deserts or anything else for afternoon tea, I have a sweet tooth . You will also need to bring a chair, I only have 2! Hopefully the weather will be kind, but it is Melbourne, so the carport is available and provides some cover.
If interested, post here and I will PM contact and address details next week. Even if you are not a pen maker, you are welcome to come and say G'Day

Being just up the road, I'd love to attend. Thanks Neil. Thanks also for going to Diamond Creek and sorting out that log, we appreciate it.

BBQ at Dai Sensei's temporary residence in East Ivanhoe (Melbourne)
I'd come down for it but have an agm for the local minirail that day. As the current and likely next president of the club I should probably attend.
I may be in Melbourne during the week and would love to catch up and learn a thing or two if that suites you.
Next week that is

Neil, 1. I have some Conkerberry blanks I want to cast to fill the holes, is that possible?
2. do you want me to bring along kitchen scales?
3. do you need extension cords?
4. do you need power boards?
OR is there anything else needed???? AmosGood, better, best, never let it rest;

Maybe there is somewhere else you could do it? My place too small.

Two possibilities and it will be on again!
Listen up, there are two possibilities and it will be ON AGAIN.
ONE: We all turn up at 043 Turning at MELTON and there Mark will also demonstrate the Cactus Juice along with Neil doing Casting.
TWO: We all turn up at Ferntree Gully in an Electronics Shop, and fit in and do the best we can
Please REPLY in the post if you have a preference. Amos on behalf of NeilGood, better, best, never let it rest;
