    Default Cast NIP Fron

I've often walked past the Norfolk Island Pines around the East Coast and wondered what one of the frons would look like as a pen. So I picked up some big ones and cast them in my vertical 19mm moulds. They were only 12mm, so lent to one side of the moulds, but gave an interesting effect in the final pen.

Looks a bit like scales - lovely effect and really nice colours - good new type to try again!

Here's a pic of a NIP tree and and close up up what I call the frons on the tree. They fall to the ground and turn brown as the tree grows, like a normal tree drops its leaves. There are usually heaps around the base of the large trees.

    Ahh OK, gotcha now. Thanks.

Seems you're a casting guru now and can cast anything Just don't lower yourself to the casting level of some of the IAP guys
