A celtic knot
Hi everybody. This was my first attempt at a Celtic knot and was for the IAP 2011 PITH. The wood is radiata pine and the knot is Rosewood. It is sanded, then 10 coats of CA. It was a lot of fun to do and although it is not perfect I was extremely happy for my first attempt. I learnt so much about it from giving it a go. Points I take away from this is the importance of being accurate, especially with the inserts, and also how critical drilling in the centre is. It was a shame to post it off, guess I better make me one now
