No centerband pens
I have been frustrated with sloppy centerbands so with a bit of reading and some advice from Don @ Red River Pens produced the following from Southern African woods.
All finished with MM. 5 coats of Woodoc 20 and polished with Woodoc Antique wax.
The twist pens are used by turning the nib.
African Blackwood
Red Ivory
Red Coastal Milkwood
Spalted Black Alder- Spalted Quor
White Ironwood
White Coastal Milkwood
Cheers

I just finished my first long wood pen - a cigar. Will have to try these ones too. I like how it shows off the wood so well.
Nice pens. Thanks for posting.
Cheers,
Dave...but together with the coffee civility flowed back into him

It is pleasing to see the Long wood style of pen being made, i had made a slimline ages ago from Concaberry but in a closed end form. desperately trying to find it again. This style allows more grain to be shown and a more pleasing gentle curve to be added to the design. Anyone with a pen wizard or similar machine would be able to do so nice rope spirals for a different twist to the pen so to speak. It is great to see the work that is being produced.
Cheers

Nice work and lovely timbers. I am not really a fan of pens with no centre band but these are really nice.and would certainly add attraction to any collection
Reality is no background music.
Cheers John
