Christmas pens.
Hi,
Have been busy making Christmas orders.
Matched chrome baron 2 in blood wood.
Polaris chrome in camphor laurel.
Matched gold baron 2 in boodgeroo.
Matched gold baron 2 in boodgeroo.
Boodgeroo is a timber prized by local indigenous tribes. The bark was used for coffins as it wouldn't burn. The timber is also fire resistant.
Kits from timberbits - awesome stuff. Thanks for looking.

Hi Todd,
Some nice pens there, not sure if it is the photographs or not but on closer inspection it looks like you may have had some issues at the nib end of your pens. The rest looks fine just the nib end from what I can see.
Cheers
Tony.

Very good eye Tony. Had a very small chip out on the left boodgeroo pen. The close up makes it worse. The buyer was happy though. Local indigenous guy who told me the history of the timber. The timber has huge cultural significance to his people and his reaction was really good.
Thanks for your comments.

Hi,
They were finished with sandpaper to 600, the micro mesh to 12k. Then finished with EEE polish then Shellawax.
Have not a lot of luck with CA finish. Will need to practise.
Thanks for looking and the great comments.

Todd,
Thats what its all about Todd, Practice, Practice, Practice makes perfect
FWIW I use strips of toilet paper folded up to apply my CA. I drip onto the blank as it is turning 3 or 4 drops and with a reasonably quick side to side action along the length of each blank three or four times and I achieve a nice smooth finish. Quick and very short hit with activator and away we go again. Through the MM soft touch pads and a little bit of Plastix polish to finish. Works every time but then I have had plenty Practice
Cheers
Tony.
