Cigar pen in Mango
Mango blank is bought from Mapleman. First time made a pen from Mango, and I like the texture and colours.

Nicely made and finished. I was surprised too the first time I turned Mango. The character in the grain is fantastic.

Well done Ilya.
That looks a lot darker than most of the mango I've used, not surprised if it's from MM though, he gets some great pieces with fantastic grain patterns.
Did you add any colour or just use a clear finish?
Cheers, Ian"The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot.. it can't be done.
If you deal with the lowest bidder it is well to add something for the risk you run.
And if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better"

Thank you for the comments! Ian, there is no colour enhancements at all, just CA finish straight on the timber.

Very nice mate! Might have to try some mango myself --- I've been spending too much time eating the fruit instead
