    Default Closed end Mandril

Hi all in America and Australia

I am looking for a closed end mandril Closed-end Pen Mandrel

and the company says they are to busy to send one to Australia. Would there be any one who can help me so that the very busy company can send the said mandril to a American address and then post it to me. I thought there was a resession on in America and also that we wood turners stick up for each other. Seems as some do and some are to BUSY. I am a bit disappointed with their attitude but some help from America would be appreciated

    Kind regards

    Rog

A bit, this is your 3rd post about it. Don't mean to be harsh, but you only need 1 post about it.

Hopefully someone can come up with a link for you, but you could always make your own. Biggest trouble is you need a different one for all the different kits. I made mine from brass, but have others made from Delron.

Thanks for that. I only did three as I could not find where it went. This site is still a bit of a pussell. Just wanted to make sure all did not waste their time as I did. It's disappointing to get your hopes up only to be dashed. I do make mistakes and am proud to admit them.

Hey Rog, take a look at several sizes of RAMSET Trubolts which almost every hardware shop carries. The closed end mandrill could be easily fashioned from one of these. Just make sure you ask for the TruBolt that has the turn nut and threaded bolt as one, not the separate nut model. Also, get the stainless ones, not zinc plated. Check out the link below. Cheers.

Wow and Wow. I got so wrapped up in being cheesed off that I stopped thinking. You are a genius. What a good idea. Thank you for putting my head back to finding a solution. I do hope the next time I rant and rave when not getting my way you once again come to my recue.

    Kind regards
