    Default Clutch Pencil Kit

I have looked around and maybe in the wrong place.

Does anyone know if you can get clutch pencil kits?

I dont mean mechanical pencils that take a small lead, I mean the one that takes a regular size lead. The ones I had as a kid had a sharpener inside the lid.

    Thanks in advance

Not all kits have sharpeners but don't let that put you off. They are easy to come by online and a piece of sandpaper works well anyway.

I'm not sure any of the 043 options shown are clutch pencils but I have bought the Vertex 2mm clutch from them in the past.

Variety in pencil kits are hard to come by in OZ - you might need to go offshore.

Staedtlers are easy to find. Stationery suppliers, art shops, drafting and architecture suppliers all sell them. The drafting and architecture places usually have a big range of refill types too.

    dabbler I will google Vertex

Ian I will google power pencil. Your image is a little small for me to make out the detail but that could be the one. What are those kits worth?

Dave the Power pencil is a click type mechanism ,takes 2mm leads ,has a sharpener in the plunger ,and sometimes an erasor as well.Usually comes with a tube of spare leads , I use these often as a nice pen and pencil set ,just a little bigger than slims, about the same as a streamline ,as to cost it depends a bit where you get them from ,but not expensive in the grand scheme of things, the only " real" clutch pencils I can think of are the workshop pencils, take about 1/4" leads, with a sharpener in the end cap, another not generally available locally is the same thing in a smaller version, takes a 3mm lead ,and usually a clip for pocket ,just depends on your needs as to what you select ( be careful with lengths and assembly ) with most pencil kits it is critical for them to work properly . Cheers ~ John

    Default Workshop Pencils

    Thanks Ben,
Yes we do have the workshop pencils with the larger 6mm lead. We also stock the lead replacements and yes the cap or button to release the clutch mechanism has a sharpener in that too. We also stock replacement sharpener lids/Buttons. All listed on our website.
    Hope that helps
    Thanks
    Tony

    Thanks Ray

The 'workshop' pen looks closest to what I want, or the mini sketch as shows in the second link.

Appreciate you finding these links. I could not get the other link to work either so was good having that again.
