This stick of timber came from the South Coast,it has a striking grain structure.
Many pens of this are being made. Peter

Coastal Cypress
That is truly beautiful.
What is the scientific name of the timber and is it a native?

Feel free to Google for further info,my aim when making is the unusual and stunning grain or colour, the name given me by the dealer. The board I have is some three feet by two feet and two inches thick with a crotch what else, vertical stripes, birdseye, shake and some beautiful colours.
I have no reason to separate the timber from the palings from Bunnings that Woodenink gave us a heads up.My piece is dry, bunnings usually mostly wet, they smell the same definite way.
Part of the fun. Peter
