    Default Coca-Cola Syrup Barrel

    A Gunmetal Atrax from Steve's Woodcraft. The cap is a Mik Lawrence design and the barrel is from a syrup barrel that they transported the syrup in to make Coca-Cola.     I take it that the dark side on the timber is from the syrup soaking into the wood ?

    WOW! And how long is it since the syrup was transported in a wooden barrel? That must be close to being an antique by now, especially in this age of stainless steel and plastic.

    The barrel was from 1920 long after they removed cocaine from the mix. I think that stopped around 1903.

    Wow, 1920 eh? Back when all the product was exported as a concentrate and then diluted and bottled locally. Those were the days.
