Coffee bean pens
Hi all..these pens and letter opener are the first time i tried casting anything..the first pen i had trouble with the beans floating so i put more in .while turning the beans came out i had to glue them back as you see it did not turn out very good...the next ones i epoxied the bean to the tube one at a time then put them in a conduit mold then into the pressure pot over night it turned ok finished with ca/blo. And car polish...

Good stuff . Looks like a lot of fun,
Looks great for your first go at it.
The second ones in yellow do look the best.

Did you stabalize the beans first to harden them up and stop shrinkage ?, You may need to do a full CA finish on these to seal them against moisture ,not sure that Blo is thick enough for protection ,,All good though lots of fun and learning with these things hehe, cheers ~ John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

Nice work Robert.
The first time I did coffee beans I had the same trouble, I now mix the resin and beans pour, place a timber lid on and weight it down.
I used WOP to seal the pen, its a shame as you loose the coffee bean aroma
