Coolabah
I had some time to play last weekend. Here are 2 that I made up from a couple of blanks kindly donated to me by "anonymous". I believe the purple resin was applied by a previous owner. The blanks were Coolabah and some form of resin (I don't do any casting so am not sure of the technical details)
They are an Elegant Beauty and a Sierra with my usual favourite finish of CA.

Nice work !! I really like these mixed timber and resin blanks gives the pen a very different look. Well matched to the pens chosen too.
I must try these myself one day, does anybodt sell these worthless wood type blanks??
Cheers

Very nice looking pen. Those sorts of blanks can be obtained thru ebay. Look for nyodine ( georges bits of timbers). I have used him and he is very good suplier.

Yes Neil, plenty of CA 20 coats, so hopefully that will be enough to keep it all together. A beautiful blank.

Great bunch of pen you have there.
I am sure you must be happy with them. They have a good mix of tones in them.
Thanks for sharing.

Top notch pens Dallas . I really like the look of that WW & Acrylic combo. Wish it was more readily available. I would imagine it would be pretty time consuming to make the blanks ?. Cheers.
