Default Another couple of pens !

    G'day Folks,

Heres a couple of pens we've made over the weekend.

SWMBO made the Elegant Sierra with the Paua shell blank, a nice bit of bling !!

I've messed around with a custom finial and a streamline kit with a nice cheapo blank. Its my first attempt at the fancy finial/top bit so didnt worry about the finishing too much, just could I get my ideas to work. Learnt a lot and I'll be trying a few more !!!

    Regards,

i don't know about this mate, letting the minister for war and finance in the shed

anyway you have opened the gate now, you wont get near the lathe

but credit where credit is due, your SWMBO has done a very nice job on that paua shell pen, fit and finish are very nice indeed

the custom finials are a personal thing and i applaud you for having a bash at something different, after all we don't learn if we don't play, not my cup of tea but it looks pretty good

great job to the both of you, now make sure you both play fair and share the toys

    all the best

I like the custom finial too.

Be careful because if you drop the pen, the finial may chip or crack.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Both pens look great.
Your personalization of the pen is very nice. I do like it.

Good to see husband and wife get on in the shed together.

    Congrats to you both.

I like what you did with the finial. Looks like a cool modern take on Russ Fairfields style. I also reckon your better half nailed the blank / kit combo and finished it perfectly too. Better watch out !!
