Default A couple of Vertex clicks and a Sierra click

From top to bottom, Vertex gold click dressed in Myrtle Burl, Vertex satin click dressed in Hairy Oak both finished in CA sanded to 1200, EEE and McGuires plastic polish and finally a Sierra click dressed in one of my segmented She Oak/Silky Oak/Alumnium blanks and finished using Les's dipping method, sanded to 1200, EEE and McGuires plastic polsh. Comparing the action of the two click mechanisms is like the difference between a Rolls Royce and a Skoda with the Vertex being the Rolls Royce.

Good work on the segmented blank, wouldn't it be good if the Sierra click mechanism was as good as the Vertec Click!? Amos

    Trevor,

Nice work on them all your very slight shape to the body of the Vertex clicks looks just right without being to straight and making the pens look boring. A couple of nice pieces of timber too. I too have a soft spot for the Hairy Oak Only thing I can spot and I done it myself the very first time too, was not lining the facets of the clip end with the nib end
Your segmented pen looks the goods too mate well done. Glad to hear you like the feel of the click mechanisms !!

    Thanks for sharing.
    Cheers
    Tony.

Absolutely Amos, I would make a heap more sierra clicks if the mechanism was smoother.

Nice looking trio. The Hairy Oak is my favorite though.
