Cross Cut Mango
This is the first pen I have turned in 4 month since getting osteomyelitis in my big toe and since it's amputation. Man I forgot how long it takes to make a pen It is made out of a piece of Cross Cut Mango that was deemed rubbish by the flat timber workers and bowl turners in my local guild. I thought it had some potential so I rescued it and quite a few pieces. Sorry about the photos, as they are just point and shoot. The pen came from stick no.2. Comments welcome.
Cheers
Darren

Pretty decent pix for just 'point 'n snap.'
We all know that there's no such thing as rubbish wood... just rubbish turners.
Hmmm... does this osteo thing mean that you'll be selling all future turnings at 5% off?

Darren, SHHHHH!!! let them throw out some more "worthless wood" before you show what you have made, very well done as usual, very worthwhile wood! Amos
