Cyprus Burl pen and magnifying glass
Did these yesterday. Bought the kits from Carrolls at the show on Saturday. Cyprus Burl came up well. Finish is CA/BLO Sorry about the pics only showing pen with nib not showing but overlooked that when I was taking the pics.
Reality is no background music.

Very nice indeed, amazing how a common ordinary piece of wood can become so much better with the "right" piece of it
like huon pretty bland normally ,but a bit of birdseye gives it real character ,cheers ~John

very nice , but i am a bit puzzled , i live among cypress pine and worked in a saw mill for a year or so and thats all we cut , but i have never seen a burl on one .

I did a google image search and found Cypress Burl pics
I can't recall seeing any before either in my younger years in the Pine Forests around Tea Gardens.
