The Dark Continent
This is a little gift for my mother's doctor who spends his holidays working as a volunteer doctor in Africa. The base is Silky Oak, the map of Africa is stained MDF and the pen with the medical logo is a high level European dressed in Bocote and polished with CA. The clock is gold rimmed and gold dial face from Timberbits. I just have to drill the hole for the pen in the base a little deeper so that it sits fully upright. First attempt on the scroll saw that has been sitting idle for 2 years. I might make a few more of this type for the markets.

Had a look at them John but I wanted to keep it simple. I think it might have stood out too much but who knows. I will tell him a termite was responsible
