    Smile Dead Finish In a pen

    Hi Today I made a dead finish pen in a 7mm. This afternoon I had CA so again this is my finish. one side is pink very hard to see with the scanner photos. The other is cream. Love your feedback the best you can see Sorry about the photo

    Hello Toni, nice pens, by "dead finish" did you mean a "matt" or "satin" finish , that is a finish that does not shine as brightly as some other finishes? Amos

    I imagine she means "Dead Finish" as in that's the name of the wood/tree.

    Pity 'twas ruined by the application of CA! [Grins, ducks, runs...]

    Lovely to see you using the best wood there is Toni (IMHO of course). Looks great. Reckon you could easily get away without the CA though - Dead finish will hold a shine on it's own, at most a wipe of oil.

    Default Dead Finish

    The fable of dead finish I heard was out in the bush this tree is the last surviver if times get tough and you are travelling in the area without resources you have dead finish.Sure is a dense wood and polishes real well as does your pen. Peter
