Default From the deck of HMAS Moresby

    Good evening ladies and gentlemen
i have been asked to turn these 22 gold sierras, and was given a suitable amount of teak for the job. The teak allegedly came from the deck of HMAS Moresby. Not sure who or what these pens are destined for, but the teak came up very nicely.
    cheers

Interesting bit of Teak, nice grain, plus a good story to go with it.

Morning Willy I never had much fun with Teak but you managed to get a decent order using special timber . Like the pen, well done.

    Hello Shipmate,
I only use the CA finish on my pens, between 10-15 coats, dependant upon temperature, humidity, timber type, grain etc, plus, how fast the glue comes out of the bottle.
Sanded and polished to 5000 grit
    Cheers

    Default Teak

I was talking to a mate last night about the pens. He was also on the HMAS Moresby, so I have promised him a pen. He was amazed that I had been given the teak as he said when it was being ripped up in long lengths it was grabbed by all and sundry. Apparently the teak hadn't been down for very long and was in very good condition
    Cheers
