Deep Red timber burl
I need to make a couple of pens for a client. He wants me to use a blood red timber burl. The more rich red the better. Can anyone suggest a decent type of burl for this project and where I might get it.
Thanks

Try some Red Malee Burl, there are plenty of sources, 2 that spring to mind are GPW and Timberbits.

How about some redgum burl with some actual blood red resin worthless wood. Not that I have that combination, but I could do it

Red Morrell burl may be useful. Vasticola burl is also a dark red. Both make lovely pens.

Not trying to be funny, but what about either Bloodwood, or Redheart, both are quite a deep red, I realize they aren't native timbers, so they may produce a more exotic appeal, But then again perhaps I as silly as a goose.
