    Smile Desert Ironwood

Recently got some desert Ironwood to try out , I needed some more fountain pens for stock ,so knocked out a few today ,this is 2 in Arizona Desert Ironwood ,a Sedona and an Electra , one of them was supposed to be burl ,the black parts were almost like they had been charred at some time and the tree grew around it again , Looks similar to cocobolo but seems more varied in the darker sections ,polished up like ebony ,but I did CA finish just to be sure . Cheers ~ John

Hmmm ! for some reason the picture of the 2 pens look pretty rough, they are not hehe !
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

Nicely done John. I'm with the others as I am partial to the Sedona's. Beautiful blank on that one.

I like them both John. I haven't seen an 'Electra' pen before. It's a bit different from the run of the mill, looks almont antique in design. Really nice work mate
