Desert Ironwood
Recently got some desert Ironwood to try out
, I needed some more fountain pens for stock ,so knocked out a few today ,this is 2 in Arizona Desert Ironwood ,a Sedona and an Electra , one of them was supposed to be burl ,the black parts were almost like they had been charred at some time and the tree grew around it again , Looks similar to cocobolo but seems more varied in the darker sections ,polished up like ebony ,but I did CA finish just to be sure . I like them both John. I haven't seen an 'Electra' pen before. It's a bit different from the run of the mill, looks almont antique in design. Really nice work mate

hehe! seems others have good taste also, made them yesterday sold today at the markets ,lucky I have some more of this lovely wood to play with
