Dipping Pens to harden
Hi Folks,
I read a thread the other day from someone who is caoting their pens by dipping into a bottle of something mixed with thinners by 50%. They explained that the thinner helped cut into the first layer at the same time quickened the drying process considerably. Bugger if I can find the thread. If anyone remembers the thread could you please point my in the right direction?
I am turning a very soft wood and am looking for a finish that will considerably harden the pen.
Thanks.
