Display Pens
Our local store is re-doing how the pen kits are displayed and I've been helping out by turning some for the new display.
From this -
To this -
First up is a Wall Street II in Black TI and Gold TI with a piece of local Russian Olive wood.
Finish is eight coats of Tru-Oil and and buffed with Brasso.
Second pen is a Wall Street II Click Pen with Black TI and / WSC Gold and Red (Doug) Fir Bark.
Finish is Plexi-Acetone and buffed with Brasso.
My first Euros and playing with inlays
Top pen is Ebony with a Amboyna Center with Curly Maple bands.
Middle Pen is Curly Birch with an Ebony Center and Blood Wood bands.
Bottom pen is Black Walnut Burl with Blood Wood center and Curly Maple bands.
Finish is 3 - 4 coats of thick Plexi-Acetone and polished with plastic polish and NU Finish.

Well they'll have to have sharp nippers and then do it in front of the employees ...
What's that amazing blank on the wall st click?
The owner likes my redfir bark pens and so I'll be doing a few for the display.

display pens
G'day Ron.
You mentioned that you hoped something wasn't sitting in customs. I have a question for you.
If I want to send something to USA over a certain weight I think about 1/2 lb in your measures, I have to pay a $9.00 aus custom fee, so your customs can inspect it if they want to.
Are you being stung with a similar charge to send stuff here?
