Brad, the staino looks good, so good that I had to get a Desire to check out. I already have a blank in mind, Hp worthless wood with grey acrylic.

That's the plan until my wife sees the pen kit.

Brad Dogwood has the power to impress and this it did the kit is strong I like the heavy banding in the centre, the simple clip shape made to work, the threading on the body looks substantial and brief not overdone. Liking the stainless steel quite a change.

    Beaut pics mate.

    Thanks for the comments.
I made a couple of pens last week, so that I could choose one to enter in the "Pretty Wood Pen" contest over on the IAP forum. This one was the runner up. I cant post photos of my entry until after the comp is finished. But you can look at all the entries over there (once they put them up) and see if you can guess which one is mine.

I bought a couple of boxes of Lazerlinez kits while our dollar was better than the US$, they were also on special, and because I spent over $200 I got free postage. They worked out quite cheap. I got about 40 of the Liberty kits for $11 each, the rollerball and fountain pen kits were less than $20 each.
I love the look of these kits, but the metal to metal threads let them down a bit. Constant has changed the design now to include a delrin insert for the cap thread, which reportedly feel a lot better. But the price has now gone up.

    Thumbs up

That is a gorgeous pen and I think Peter has summed up the reasons why very well!!

I have not seen any dogwood ( that I know of) but that piece reminds me of a piece of lignum vitae my brother had-
and which his wife threw out!!

    Cheers Art.
The Dogwood is also called Creek Wilga.
Vern (TTIT) has it on his website if you want a better look at it.
