My father-in-law found a shed skin in his cabinet in the barn the other day. I bet it has been destroyed by now. That is a unique way to deal with shed skin. I like the thought of coloring it also.

Very nice pen Ian. I wouldn't be too keen on trying to get the skin off a live Death Adder

Wink No snake handlers were harmed in the making of this pen!

    Nice casting Ian.

Rather than dye the skin how would they look over painted tubes?

Fantastic pen Ian, hope you 'put the bite' $$$ on him for this special pen. . I found a 3 meter long python skin in the back garden last month, but my missus made me chuck it out as she is paranoid about snakes. Might have been because I wrapped it around her steering wheel to give her a little surprise
    I never forget anything I remember !!

The pen is one thing, can appreciate that, but what's this about 3 metre Pythons, and to top it off -wrapped around the steering wheel!! you naughty man Stephen. - Amos

Ahhh, thought that would get your attention Amos I often find tree snake shedded skins in the trees & bushes around the house, but never a python skin. Been in this house for 20 years & that was a first. My little dog didn't get eaten, but we get a few flying fox's in the trees at night, so I bet they are on the menu
